St. Patty's Day Container!

Hello All, I am back and have some goodies to share.

This first item is a St. Patty's Day container I made out of empty kids snack container (Wagon Wheels). Sometimes my mind just spits out lots of ideas and others it doesn't. Well this is one of those creative moments and it is not because of the simplicity of this, but because of the top.

The lids on these containers are so easy to cut. I was able to take regular scissors to cut the inner circle out. Once I did that I used the circle cutter to cut a circle out of vellum to fill in the open space in the top (adhered with sticky strip). I think this would also be a great idea with window sheets, which by the way will be available again starting next month... WHOO HOO!!

SUPPLIES: Certainly Celery DSP, Vellum, Sticky Cut Letters, Fine Cosmo Stampin Glitter, Sticky Strip, Circle Scissor Plus, Chocolate Chip 1" Double-Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon. 1" Circle Punch.

Note: When I make these again I would definitely go back and add a tag. This was just my first try at it!

ANOTHER ALTERED CARD..

Hello...when I was in the process of catching up with birthdays, I found a lot of my inspiration from others. That's what I love about Stampin Up! and my sister demonstrators, they are amazing creative women, and the ideas they put out there are awesome. So, why re-invent the wheel when you can borrow the base idea from someone.

This idea came from a swap I received. I liked the base card, but in my layering obsession I wanted to add more.. the first card is the base idea and the second sample is my version.

Original Sample
My Altered Version

The Birthday Catch Up!

I hate to admit I am behind on birthday cards... go figure. But, I am happy to say I am caught up for 2009 and only have a couple left from the end of 2008 to finish, and YES I am still going to send them, never to late to celebrate! The card below went out to my sister-in-law, Amanda, last week!

Now, this card started as a swap I received last year and I took the base idea and spruced it up with some hand-stitching, layering, and fun punching. I wish I could give credit to the person who had the base idea to this card, but I don't have her name...sorry!

Anyhow, I wanted to show this card because I want you to see how you can take an idea, which starts somewhere else and enhance it into your own creation! Enjoy!!

SUPPLIES: Stamp Sets: Cheers to You, Bitty Birthdays; Card Stock: Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss, Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango; Ink: Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black; Misc:
