2013 Convention Swap- PERFECT BLEND

I had so much fun at Convention this year, it had definitely been tooooo long.  Just seeing old friends, meeting new ones, the excitement, learning, and so on! Such a fun and motivating time.  I am still collecting my thoughts and admiring the amazing swaps I received. You will see a lot over the next several weeks.  Let me start by sharing the swaps I made..  Here is number one, I just LOVE when a swap comes out even better than the original sketch. Yes, I sketch everything first!!

I loved this card sooo much I made it in 2 colors, note the second one is Starbucks Colors, the place of my daily addiction!!

Quick Masculine Birthday Card :)

I love to be able to throw together QUICK cards when I am in a hurry, so here is what I threw together yesterday for my hubby's birthday from some scrapbook paper scraps.  Isn't it fun! I just used a 1/4" Square punch and covered a chip board star. Simple is GOOOODD!

Hungry Catapillar Card

Howdy Everyone!  I feel like my life is slowly starting to get organized again.  A friend of mine and I are hosting a crop/craft class tomorrow and I am beyond excited! I will post that project soon! 

FIRST, here is a cute card I made for my son Zach's first birthday.  The theme was The Hungry Catapillar..  These are the types of cards I LOVE to create..

I made the template myself by the bites are made from the scallop circle punch!! How easy and OH SO CUTE!

Construction-IZED Swap!!

My son Drew loves anything construction, so it was fitting to make a construction card for a swap.  Anyone who knows me knows I like intricate, crazy things, so this card fits right in.  I LOVE using our punches any chance I get along with the BIG SHOT and Texture plates.  I think they dress any card up, don't you?

Simply Scrappin Baby Cards

I am still trying to put my office together, I know I have said that for awhile, but with 3 little boys it is soooo true!  I pulled out some old Simply Scrappin Kits and threw together some quick baby cards.  I LOVE these kits because it makes card making QUICK and these days that is exactly what I need!!

Evan's 1st Birthday Card

As I was pondering a theme for Evan's first birthday this past April, I really couldn't come up with anything since, well, he was turning "1" and REALLY not in to anything. So, I thought polka dots could be fun! This card was sooo simple to make!

I used varying circle punches and lots of fun colors! I could use our Stampin Up! punches EVERY day, they make projects simple and fast!

SOMETIMES Cheating is Okay!!

Okay, last Mother's Day and Father's Day (2010) I was determined to make my own cards and well that just didn't happen. I guess I can chalk it up to having a baby just over a month old, a 2 1/2 year old running around and a new move to TX. So, quickly thought to myself, this is OKAY! I love Shutterfly as a back-up because they often have specials and even FREE stuff. So, it is okay to give yourself a break once in awhile and let someone else do the work.

HANDPRINTS Always A WINNER!

Okay, as many of you know I have not been on the blog much over the last few months after having my second son, and well I need EASY things to make that take little time & are little cost.

So, what Grandparent doesn't like hand prints? I have to admit the idea wasn't mine alone. My very crafty sister-in-law and amazing upline started this idea. When her kiddos are around 2yrs, she puts something together similar to this for her parents, and I just love being at their house and seeing the hand prints displayed, so last year when Drew was 2, I thought I have to add to the collection... hence the card. We sent these on Grandparents Day 2010!

BIRTHDAY FUN!!

I am so proud of myself for keeping up with my posting this past week. Call it the nesting, I am not sure.. hopefully by the time this one posts I will actually be holding my new little boy. I have been working on some cards for a friend, which has been great because it is forcing me to be down in my stamp cave and CREATE!

PARTY HEARTY Card!

Hello Everyone!! We are are expecting our little one any time, we are just over a week out from our due date. So, exciting! As you can see I have been distracted with preparing for baby, but I have been stamping a little over the last couple days. In other big news, April will be a crazy month for us since we will be moving to DALLAS! Yes, you heard me right! We are very excited to become Texans at the end of April!

Masculine Card - Father's Day!

I must have been dreaming that I posted these last few cards. This was the card I made for Father's Day this year. The base of this card was from a sample I saw, and I wish I remembered where that came from. Anyhow, it is always hard for me to think of a masculine card, but I loved the idea of this.

Birthday Pazazz!

Here is a card I made for a friend to give. I can't claim this total idea as the fun sparkling sprinkles idea came from a card my sister-in-law and wonderful upline, Erin Blair made for my hubby (her brother). Click here to see some of her awesome ideas...

This was made for a little girl's 1st birthday! Although the picture does not show this well, the card actually measures 6" x 12", scored at 6". I am trying to go through some of my supplies I have not used in awhile, plus I have a surplus of old DSP, so you will see a retired DSP is used on this card. See supplies below:

Little Card Mania...

Order up, another little card is posted below. I don't know why I am on this kick, but they are SOOOOO Cute! This is similar to the one I made my MOPS table, but I actually made this one first for all of my MDO kiddos. Don't you think the little lamb is appropriate for the kids?! Little Card Kick!

Hello... I am stamping and creating more and more these days! I really miss it when I am not doing it. My office is almost put together, which I work on it in my spare time. I am hoping this summer I can get it done.. I will take pictures when it is done so you can see what I did with a basement office in a rental house!

Okay now onto the sample of the night. I LOVE making these little cards, the one I am posting today is what I made my MOPS table for our end of the year meeting. This little guy measures: 2 3/4" x 8", scored at 4".

"CAT TAIL" Card

Silly me, I thought I had already posted this card, but nope...didn't happen. This card is soooo cute, I wish I could claim the creativity, but the credit goes to Patty Bennett, check out her version of the card here. I did this at a recent workshop and it was a hit!

What I loved about this card is it could be a feminine or masculine card, you will see the girly version. I hope you love this as I loved making it!
